VW 1500S introduction in Safer Motoring magazine, October 1963



Photos of the new VW 1500S models from Safer Motoring's coverage of the 1963 Frankfurt auto show, including some shots of what appears to be the Karmann display.




This rear window sticker is pretty cool.

70mph in 3rd? I don't think I've tried that. My '64 manual says to not exceed 56 mph in 3rd gear.

The accompanying text said the photos were shot while going downhill. Still probably not a good idea!
